Why Screen Printing
The Industry Standard For Good Reason
Screen printing has been the dominant garment decoration method for over a century — and it remains the standard for a straightforward reason: no other technique matches its combination of colour vibrancy, opacity, tactile quality, and durability at scale. When a brand needs bold, consistent, long-lasting prints on cotton and blended fabrics across large runs, screen printing is still the benchmark.

8 Screen Printing Techniques
Every technique below uses the same core principle ink pushed
through a stencilled mesh screen onto a garment — but each
produces a completely different visual and tactile result.
Choose the right technique for your design goal, garment
category, and brand positioning.
Technique 01
Plastisol Printing
The industry standard. PVC-based ink that sits on the fabric surface — producing high-opacity, vibrant colour on light and dark garments. Up to 8 spot colours, supports halftone and photographic artwork. Suitable for all cotton and blended fabrics.
Technique 02
Puff Printing
A foam-additive ink that physically rises off the fabric during heat curing — creating a 3D raised tactile surface. Premium feel for logos and brand marks on t-shirts and hoodies. Best on cotton and fleece fabrics with bold, simple designs.
Technique 03
Water-Based PrintingAn eco-conscious ink system that penetrates fabric fibres rather than coating the surface — producing an ultra-soft hand-feel with no rubberised layer. No PVC or phthalates. Ideal for sustainable brands and light-coloured cotton garments and breathability
Technique 04
Foil Printing
A metallic foil layer is heat-bonded to an adhesive ink base printed through a screen — creating a mirror-bright metallic surface in gold, silver, holographic, and coloured foils. Produces a premium fashion-forward finish
Technique 05
Discharge Printing
A chemical process that removes existing dye from dark fabrics and replaces it with a new colour — leaving zero hand-feel because the print becomes part of the fabric itself. The softest possible result on dark garments. Eco-conscious: no topical ink layer means minimal surface chemical load.
Technique 06
Silicone Printing
A rubber-based ink with excellent stretch recovery that flexes with the fabric without cracking — unlike plastisol, which can fail on high-elongation textiles. The go-to technique for activewear, sportswear, and compression garments where repeated stretching is part of the use cycle.
Technique 07
Flocking PrintingShort fibres are electrostatically bonded to an adhesive ink base, creating a velvet-like raised texture on the fabric surface. Produces a luxurious, premium tactile finish for logos and brand graphics. Available in a full range of flock fibre colours on any fabric type.
Technique 08
High-Density PrintingAn extra-thick plastisol ink deposit built through multiple print passes — creating a sculptural raised surface with clean geometric edges and no foam expansion. Produces maximum raise height for bold brand marks and graphic elements
